​            Inspired by the book Undrowned: Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals  by Alexis Pauline Gumbs, the most incredible book I've read in a long time. I wanted to celebrate these magical creatures with some large scale tattoos incorporating at least two of the same species as seen in these sketches - I'm also open to including more than one species in a piece. Please note that these placements are a suggestion but I'm also open on placement, as long as the scale is right. These sketches are meant to open a dialogue about the final piece which we will nail down together!
